Change of Seasons

This weekend I noticed that Kamran has been wearing a lot more of his pants and long sleeved clothing. No big deal for most of us but it made both Mommy and Daddy realize how fast the little guy seems to be growing and the summer fun seems to be over. It made me sad to put away so many of his summer clothes because I will never see him wear them again. I know I probably sound a bit dramatic but these are my last few days at home so I'll blame it on that. ;-)

Kamran has his first trial run at daycare on Friday. Our daycare invited us to bring him by for a few hours prior to when he begins full time so we could ease into the adjustment. Never did I imagine it would be as hard as it was, even for a few hours. Kamran is very curious and observant these days. When we first got there he took in all his new surroundings. He also seems to have a bit of anxiety when he sees a new face. He was upset for a little bit once it all registered but quickly warmed up. I'm sure his first full day will be more telling for Mommy than Kamran!

On Saturday while the daddies were away in Blacksburg, VA supporting our fellow Hokies, we got together with Auntie Toby and Rayan. Rayan and Kamran were so cute together. They even started "talking" to each other at one point and had both mommies laughing so hard! Rayan was nice enough to let Kamran borrow so many of his cool toys and sleep in his room for a while.

On Sunday we attended Maya's first birthday party.

Kamran stayed awake for a long time and took in all his surrounding as he usually does. Even though he was still a little too young to play with the other kids in attendance he did get to meet some more new faces and did just fine with it. He finally tuckered himself out at some point from all the fun!

Off to Grandma & Grandpa's We Go!

A few days following Labor Day weekend Mommy & Kamran went to stay at Nana & Nani's place down south in Lynchburg, VA. Daddy had to be out of town for a work conference so we decided to visit the grandies. This also marked Kamran's first roadtrip. He did exceptionally well! We stopped once each way to feed him and he slept most of the other time. Kamran did have a minor meltdown on the way back to NOVA but we got through it after pulling over for a few minutes to soothe him.

Nana & Nani were thrilled to have the little guy at their place. It also meant a lot to Mommy as Kamran got to see the home Mommy grew up in. We had a wonderful time and not only was Kamran spoiled but so was Mommy!

Not only did Kamran get quality time with his grandparents

He also got a visit in with Bhami Masi and Rob Masa while they were in town

And in addition to meeting to many of Nana & Nani's friends, he also got to visit Mommy's friend from highschool, Jill.

And finally a wonderful reunion with Daddy when he came to pick us up the following week. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures but Kam was all grins when he woke up the next morning and saw his Daddy waiting for him. Very adorable!

And So It Begins...

Are you ready for some football?! I'm not sure if Mommy is but Daddy has already made sure that Kamran is introduced to football at a very early age. Last week it began with Daddy explaining the ins and outs of fantasy football to Kamran. And this weekend marks the beginning of Virginia Tech football season. Preseason football has already begun for the Redskins. I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose my little man to football at a very early age. The men in the house will be dominating the remote before I know it!

Daddy was in Atlanta over the weekend to support our fellow Hokies at the season opener game. Kamran and I cheered the Hokies on from home. Unfortunately we weren't able to win this game but hopefully the remaining season will be more promising. Afterall, Kamran will have no choice but to support his parents alma mater! :-)

Kamran was actually was asleep by the time the game kicked off but he did sport his Hokie gear all day. I couldn't get him to wear the hat from his Fui and Fua (apparently he's not a fan right now) but he was content with having it sit on his lap.

We enjoyed some nice family time the remainder of the of the long weekend once Daddy got home. Kamran was grinning so much when he saw his Daddy it was adorable! Later Sunday afternoon we went to the grand opening of the Patil's winery. We went with Bhami Masi & Rob Masa and met up with the Mossburgs. I forgot to bring my camera to load the pictures (since I'm currently at my parents place) but Kamran was quite content sitting in Auntie Jen M's lap most of the time we were there!

We also got a visit from the Turners on Monday who stopped by to meet Kamran. It was great catching up with them and meeting their little boy, Reid.

3 Months!

In the spirit of Hokie Day, Kamran is wearing his very own personalized VT onesie made by Auntie Jen S for his 3 month picture. :-)

Kamran's stats:
*~9.5 lbs
*23 inches

These days it feels like Kamran is getting bigger by the second! He keeps us very entertained, especially when he "talks". He's also become quite active - kicking his arms and feet all over the place.

With less than one month to go before I go back to work I'm on my own countdown. I plan on enjoying these next few weeks with my little man before reality sets in!
